The Narrows

from $100.00

Zion National Park, UT

One of my most memorable experiences was a trip to Zion National Park. As a Floridian I was not quite prepared for just how different the landscape is out here. When most people think of the Southwest they imagine a barren wasteland of sand. I can assure you that it is anything but that. The hike through the Narrows here was like nothing I have ever done before. These narrow canyons have a reputation of having frequent flash floods, yet I could not pass up the opportunity to experience the beauty here. Using dry suites to avoid the freezing water, My Father, Uncle, and I made our way through the raging Virgin River. The sun created beautiful reflected light cast through the canyon, which allowed me to capture this image.
